Hill Inlet, Queensland, Australia - My friends and I all made a last minute decision to do a 20-minute helicopter trip that left from Hamilton Island and did a loop over Whitsunday Island on our last day in the Whitsundays. It was the perfect way to cap off our trip. We had stunning views across the Islands and to the mainland for the entire flight, but this was definitely the best of them all: Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet. What an amazing spot. The helicopter ride was one of the better values for money I've seen as well -- $200pp/20 minutes. They're offered daily from Hamilton Island Air.

Hill Top Farmstay, Cooktown, Australia - Up near Cooktown in Queensland, Australia is the beginning of the Outback with the classic red dirt roads. Here feels like the end of the world, taking 3 hours to get to the closest city south. Definitely worth a visit!
