I had graduated college and wanted to spread my wings and venture out into the world. I had been attending college for four years and needed a refreshing break. I had made a lot of money that I had saved away from being a Dominatrix and decided that it was now time to enjoy it. A friend of mine in the Dominatrix business had told me about Amsterdam and to me it sounded like the perfect place to visit. Little did I know that I would end up living there for two years! I booked a flight to Amsterdam, Holland (The Netherlands). I had no idea what things were in store there for me. This was an adventure, one that I would never forget. The day arrived for me to catch my long flight. It took all day with a two hour layover in London. With the flight, layover and time difference, it was the next day that I flew into Schiphol Airport. The fog was thick and I wasn't prepared for the humidity that I was about to encounter as I exited the plane. Holland weather in June was nothing to be happy about, if you weren't used to humidity. Remember, Holland is below sea level. My wavy hair became instantly curly as the moisture from the humid air hit me like a broken dike! I was going to stay at friends flat in the small village of Hoofdorp, which was about twenty minutes from Amsterdam. My friend was a model I had met while partying in Los Angeles. I had mentioned to her that it would be fun to visit Amsterdam and she told me about her vacation flat and that she went there sometimes to veg out on drugs, sex and partying. Something that Amsterdam is well known for. After I picked up my bags at the baggage claim, I noticed several American fast food places at the airport and grinned to myself. Even in another country, we still have an effect on them, although the USA was still known for being a prude country when it came to sexual activities.

This new book of mine is all about fun, escapist recipes. It's an adventurous cookbook that embraces the big hitters from the incredible countries I've visited recently, as well as completely new things I've made up by taking cues from the influences around me. I've taken some of the most famous and exciting dishes from these beautiful places and tweaked them so you can recreate the paellas of Spain, the tagines of Morocco and the risottos of Italy easily, and authentically, in your own kitchen. Every now and then, being brave, escaping the daily routine and filling up on other cultures is a great thing to do. Just get out there and discover the fantastic flavors, people, and places that exist just a flight away. So, if you've been talking about going somewhere in particular but haven't gotten around to booking your ticket, I urge you to go for it. You'll come back feeling optimistic about life, with a head full of beautiful memories-not to mention ideas for incredible dishes. In the meantime, let this book introduce you to some of the fantastic new recipes and flavors I've discovered, and maybe even reintroduce you to recipes you've loved and enjoyed on your own holidays, but just never knew how to make.

When the Hull City Tigers football club of England hit the big stage of the Premier League for the first time in their 104-year history, several thousand fans vowed to visit all twenty stadium grounds for the Premiership. Devoted fan Paul Collingwood took the opportunity to conduct a personal survey to see which grand day out ticked all the right boxes. The Premiership Match Day Experience is his entertaining, tongue-in-cheek result. Collingwood pinpointed five key areas of each stadium necessary for creating a balanced, overall evaluation. These included: Accessibility - Well-marked road signs and directions are a must. Facilities - Food and drink play a major role in a perfect match day. The Stadium - First impressions, inside and out, count for a lot. The Match - Any incidents of note, including songs, fights, and injuries, add to the spirit of the game. Character -Tradition, nostalgia, distinctive design features, and even the people! The season-long mission produced a few surprises for Collingwood and a whole lot of excitement. After all, his prime motives were to sink some beers and enjoy the Tigers" first ever season in the top flight! Which stadium provided the best experience? Find out in The Premiership Match Day Experience.

When the Big Apple no longer felt big enough, Dave Prager and his wife, Jenny, moved to a city of sixteen million people-with seemingly twice as many honking horns. Living and working in Delhi, the couple wrote about their travails and discoveries on their popular blog Our Delhi Struggle. This book, all new, is Dave's top-to-bottom account of a megacity he describes as simultaneously ecstatic, hallucinatory, feverish, and hugely energizing. Weaving together useful observations and hilarious anecdotes, he covers what you need to know to enjoy the city and discover its splendors: its sprawling layout, some favorite sites, the food, the markets, and the challenges of living in or visiting a city that presents every human extreme at once. Among his revelations: secrets that every Delhiite knows, including the key phrase for successfully negotiating with any shopkeeper; the most fascinating neighborhoods, and the trendiest; the realities behind common stereotypes; tips for enjoying street food and finding hidden restaurants, as well as navigating the transportation system; and the nuances of gestures like the famous Indian head bobble. Delirious Delhi is at once tribute to a great world city and an invitation to explore. Read it, and you'll want to book the next flight!

Family-style dining is back in style and has been re-imagined by one of the most prominent chefs in Hawaii, James Beard Award nominee Beverly Gannon. On the road to Haleakala, Maui's most famous dormant volcano, is one of the island's favorite destinations-where a laid-back atmosphere and top-flight menu welcome both residents and tourists. Developed from the restaurant's ever-popular repertoire, this all-new recipe collection is scaled for sit-down family suppers, lunches, and brunches, with built-in expandability for impromptu gatherings or full-on entertaining. Ingredient substitutions are included to help move dishes from the kitchen to the table with ease, and leftovers are skillfully adapted into future meals. Recipes are organized by the days of the week, based on a schedule Gannon's mother used, and are interwoven with charming family anecdotes. "Even if you're not from the islands, the vibrant flavors will awaken your senses." -Food Network "Just like its chef, [the] Hali'imaile General Store is warm, charming, and inviting. What better atmosphere to enjoy the wonderful array of creative dishes? Dining at the store definitely adds one more reason to visit paradise." -Nobu Matsuhisa
