Take a tour of Alhambra Palace, Granada - part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats. Hi, I am Naomi and I am very excited to show you the world's greatest attractions. Atop a hill in Granada, Spain sits a charming castle and fortress complex. Intricate lace-like archways, typical of classic Moorish architecture, are the centerpieces of this shimmering structure. The Alhambra Fortress was constructed in the mid 14th century by Moorish rulers. The serenity of Alhambra's reflecting pool is a perfect scenic break. Every view of the complex seems almost poetic and inspirational. The dazzling arrays of ancient columns were built through bearing masonry. Its exquisite location integrates natural beauty with superb design. Alhambra Palace is a Mediterranean must see. Thank you for watching our travel video series. See you next time.

An unusual transportation option in the small Spanish white town of Mijas. Getting There/Directions: Mijas is approximately 30 km from Malaga amidst the mountains. Car - Car Rental is available from Malaga. Train/Bus - Take train to Fuengirola from Malaga and then bus to Mijas. Before you laugh, this is one of Mijas' transportation options. New York has yellow cabs, Bangkok has tuk-tuks, and Mijas has burro taxis. These licensed drivers are ready to take you for a ride. "What do you feed the donkeys?" "Well, hay, carrots, fruit sometimes. "Do you ever lose control of them? Very occasionally, they are generally very calm." In the past, these burro taxis were used for transporting lime and marble from quarries to the coast. Later, as that need went away, burro taxis were born. "Do you prefer to walk or the burro?" "The Burro, we do not get as tired and it is more fun. DId you like the donkey? Tell them... you have a name for it, do not you?" "Handsome..." "Here it is best to ride a donkey, streets are steep, so it is very good." This is Sara Shaikh showing you Mijas.

Take a tour of Fallas Festival in Valencia, Spain -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. An eccentric, outlandish, and spirited festival in Spain comes once a year. From March 15th to March 19th, Las Fallas, The Fires, Valencia is lit in brilliant colors to celebrate the carpenter's patron, St. Joseph. The festival is also said to have beginnings in the pagan rituals of welcoming spring and the new harvest. During the festival, millions of paper-mache and plaster puppets, depicting crude, bawdy, and satirical characters are crafted and displayed around the city. Some of the puppets can be up to 20 feet tall and are paraded around during the festivities. On the final day, puppets are burned during La Crema , meaning "the burning", in massive bonfires spread over the streets. And the rest are stuffed with fireworks and lit at Midnight, to ignite the Valencia sky.

A small medieval town along Spain's Costa Brava. Pals is a small village with a population of 2,000 people, and it is about 100 kilometers from Barcelona. In the region of Girona, Pals is located along the Costa Brava, which is a region still unspoiled. The town is most famous for its medieval architecture. There is an old castle, a Gothic church and medieval city walls. "What do you like about the town?" "Well, I knew it was from before, it is everything, it is nice, clean, cared for... and has some beautiful spots. And today is a beautiful day and we could enjoy it a lot." Then, you have these narrow, mysterious streets where you can lose yourself. Pals has many dragon legends, as residents has claimed to hear strange noises. There are also some nice shops and a golf club nearby, which is one of the best in Spain. This is Restaurant Bonavista, a typical restaurant in Pals. They specialize in homemade food. "We had paella and it tasted fantastic and very typical." Of all of our olive trees and grape wines, rice is the local specialty in here. And you can sample them in the local restaurant. "For how long have you lived in Pals?" "Since the day I was born - 47 years." "What do you like most about Pals?" "That it is quiet and you live well here." When in Pals, you are always close to the view of the plains and the sea. I am Montse Triola, showing you Pals.
