Selected to participate in this tour after being nominated during the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's "Taste Taiwan" Chef Nomination in October 2013, the three winning chefs include: Selected to participate in this tour after being nominated during the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's "Taste Taiwan" Chef Nomination in October 2013, the three winning chefs are Chef/Partner Michael Ferraro of Delicatessen in New York, Chef Bryant Wigger of Trattoria Neapolis in Los Angeles, and Executive Chef Thomas Heinrich of Mosaic Bar and Grille at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, Canada. While in Taiwan, the chefs visited the country's finest restaurants, experienced its fresh produce markets and street foods, and partook in numerous adventures along the way. Upon their return, each of the chefs created a dish inspired by their trip to Taiwan. Chef Michael of Delicatessen in New York created seafood sausage with Hakka green tea pesto. Chef Bryant of Trattoria Neapolis in Los Angeles created five-spice roasted pork belly with fried baby shrimp and polenta. Chef Thomas of Mosaic Bar and Grille at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver created a full 4-course Taiwanese Tasting Menu featuring Hakka tea crusted line-caught lingcod. All of the dishes are available at the chefs' respective restaurants until mid-February 2014. "Taste Taiwan" is set to air throughout the United States on the Discovery Channel on Saturday, February 15th at 8AM EST/PST. I went to Taipei in April 2009 for a legend -wait for it- DARYYYY 8 day holiday, just a few months shy of enlistment into the military. I decided to document the entire trip together with my friend Nicholas. Along the journey in Taipei we met many wonderful people and had a really epic experience, still vivid to this very day. P&O SS HIMALAYA RARE PHOTOS 3-3-2012 I worked on the Himalaya 70-72 as the ships projectionist and I had a ball it was a great life and I met many great people including my wife of today. Most of these pictures were taken by the ships photographers, some by me and some available on the net. I only realised today that it was only available in 6 small countries due to those greedy bastards at EMI putting a block on the video because I had used some old music tracks sorry about that I had to use some free music from Youtube to get it back online. If you want a copy of the original let me know.

From the tropical jungles of Yunnan to the deeply divided Muslim city of Kashgar, their journey exposes them to the culture and cuisines of the country's ethnic minority groups, who make up almost 10 percent of the population.

Famous Diaolou Forts Located In China Visit Diaolou Fortress Towers in Kaiping, China. Used to keep the enemy and thieves away. Great views from the top floor. This village is fully functional with fields for growing rice and facilities for raising livestock and chickens. It is one of aproximately 1800 Diaolou tall towers still standing out of approximately 3000 built.
