What's it like to backpack through South America? Our four and a half month experience through Peru, Bolivia and Chile will forever remain one of our most treasured memories. From dream-like scenery, beautifully challenging hikes, cultural encounters and wonderful new friends, we were able to live such an incredible adventure. We have attempted to share glimpses of a few of highlights and outstanding moments that helped shape our trip. South America is a truly spectacular part of the world, and we can't recommend enough that you experience it for yourself. Sooner rather than later. In total, we spent 2 1/2 months in Peru, 1 month in Chile and 1 month in Bolivia. Our three dirty amigos continue on down the desert-coast of Peru, feverishly battling mirages, heat stroke, and sunburns; all the while fueling themselves with savory cookies and watery watermelons. Struggling to keep spirits high and save energy, they resort to communication in simple hand signals and primitive noises. Unfortunately, bad-timing causes them to become trapped in a city at night with no place to sleep, and they are forced to bed-down in the crops of a local farmers field.

In this video, I spend two weeks traveling out to Peru and kiting up and down the coast. Starting at a spot called Paracas about 250km south of Lima and heading up northwards for about 1000km to a wave spot called Pacasmayo.
