Desert safari in Abu Dhabi with Emirates Adventures The fun includes sand bashing (4-wheeling thru the sand dunes) to a camel farm, then on to a Bedouin camp for dinner. It was great they had sand surfing; camel rides Henna painting and belly dancing. It is a must for sure. If you have more time I would suggest the overnight safari in Liwa, the Empty Quarter, on the border of Saudi Arabia, is even more breath taking. I was unable to visit Liwa on this journey, but hope to in the near future! My driver was amazing; I kept videotaping thinking the truck in front of us was going to roll, when my son explained we were doing the same thing. I should have been scared @$#@, but I had complete trust in our guide! Music by Nicolai Max - Caravan

Saudi Arabia - This film covers Middle Eastern religion, Islamic traditions, sociology, the economy, and the importance of petroleum. Most 'peasants' dont own the land they farm, it belongs to the Sheik. They exported cotton and fruit at this time. Nomad herdsmen still roamed and bartered. Camels were used for travel. Water holes belonged to tribes. The dichotomy of extremely rich and poor is demonstrated here. Oil deposits were found and exported by huge tankers. And its strategic location was found to be important. Women studied and worked equally with men. Water management began. New technology was introduced, public transport, trucks and planes. Traditions still remain.National Security Council. Central Intelligence Agency. المملكة العربية السعودية

Walking around the Airport in Jeddah, I noticed a lot of amazing things. Not the least of which was the fact that I, too, was being watched. In fact, I'd already been stopped, searched and questioned about the amount of camera and recording gear that I was traveling with. It was an awkward moment realizing that rather than the hassle-free passing through the lines of western airports, I was singled out precisely because I was western! Subscribe for more Luxury / Billionaire / Wealth Videos http://www.youtube.com/user/luxsreports?sub_confirmation=1 Miami's New Luxury Condo - One Thousand Museum Skyscraper on Biscayne Blvd New renderings of Zaha Hadid Architect's 215 meter-high One Thousand Museum Tower in downtown Miami have been released. As the first Zaha Hadid-designed skyscraper to grace the skyline of the Western Hemisphere, the 60-story luxury condominium will mask its program with a prominent concrete exoskeleton. As Hadid described to the Wall Street Journal, the tower is designed with an interest in "how the structure is manifested" so that it may avoid the "generic modernist typology" that is commonly found in Miami. One Thousand Museum Tower is one of several by high-profile architects that are beginning to take root in Miami, changing the tide of investment from real estate that is solely driven by waterfront locations to architecture that is high-end and luxurious. The building's 83-condos -- ranging from 5,400 to 11,000 square feet and featuring amenities such as private elevators, media rooms, and libraries -- will cost $5 and $15 million per unit. Community amenities will include a helipad, a deck with multiple pools and cabanas, rooftop event spaces, a cigar lounge, sun decks and billiards rooms, a fitness center and a screen room. The ground floor, leasable to commercial space, will aim to attract high-end retail and restaurants within a multi-height corner cut-away of the building. Residents will be greeted by a drop entrance which transitions into an open lobby whose exterior and interior is blended by a continuation of similar materials. Though the color scheme is largely neutral, areas of accent are planned to bring out points of interest within the building's interior. At its base, the podium will function as the community space within the tower that offers a landscape of water features intertwined with pools, saunas and cabanas. At the building's rooftop, private programs such as a helipad, lap pool, lounge pool and sun deck, along with work out facilities, event spaces and dining areas, will be divided up amongst a series of alternating levels. The tower's massive concrete exoskeleton, standing in stark contrast with the delicate and transparent glazing system, will form delicate curves around the curtain wall system to conceal a series of platforms and balconies. This structure will continue to flow over the podium, which articulated with large perforated metal panels, to ground itself at the street level while visually unifying the structure as a single object within the skyline. This video animates the key findings from http://www.expatexplorer.hsbc.com - the world's largest survey of expats. 4,000 expats answered questions relating to their finances, quality of life, and even what it's like to raise children abroad. If you moved abroad, what would you want to know? Transcript Every year, millions of people move abroad to boost their earning potential or to find a better way of life. In two-thousand-and-ten, Russia was home to the world's wealthiest expats, followed closely by the Middle East. In fact, in Bahrain expats found they had significantly more disposable income than before they moved. For some people, earning more isn't as important as the opportunity for new experiences; Qatar is the number one country in the world for making friends with other expats, but in Canada expats are more likely to integrate, spending as much time with local friends as other expats. For parents, a key consideration is the health and wellbeing of their children. Over ninety percent of expat parents in Hong-Kong felt their children's safety had improved, and in Australia children were likely to attend local schools and spend more time outdoors. When thinking about retirement, expats found the best place for good food, healthcare and a better quality of life was Thailand. Over two-hundred-million people worldwide have decided to start a new life overseas. If you moved abroad, what would you want to know? From every corner of the world, Arabs and Africans... Caucasians and Asians... Europeans and mixed race Whole convoys cross stretches of land to reach this destination in a long journey that unravels man's eagerness to go through the most exhausting of challenges in order to quench the thirst of the soul. In the past, they used to spend months on the way, discouraged by neither the sizzling heat of the summer nor the freezing cold of the winter. They came from all parts of the world: from Persia and India and beyond, from the borders of West Africa and Europe, from the boundaries of France and Russia, all striving to drink from that pure spring and hoping to go through the spiritual deliverance they are after. Now, the journey has become much easier and would not probably exceed a few hours. Before reaching their destination, the pilgrims need to start their journey at specific times. This is called al-Jahfa for the people of Egypt, the Levant, and the Maghreb and is currently identified by the city of Rabegh. For the residents of Medina, it is called Tha al-Halifa or Abar Ali and for Iraq and beyond it is That Erq. For Kuwait and the eastern and central areas of Saudi Arabia, pilgrimage starts at Qaran al-Manazel, currently known as al-Sayl while for Yemen, India, and beyond, it is Yolamlam. For all those as well as for others, Mecca has become the spiritual homeland or the dream of their hearts in case they are unable to reach it. There you can see all sorts and colors of people in the same place and all on equal footing, for all of them are heading for the same destination and share the same inner peace. They all pray and plead to one God to whom they direct all their supplications. They also bring to Mecca an infinite array of cultures, traditions, foods, and costumes, all merging together at the heart of the sacred valley to produce a magnificently hybrid entity. Why not so? Mecca is the core of holiness that brings prosperity to all mankind on the cultural, social, ethnic, and commercial levels. Owing to all this, Mecca is the city of peace in both form and content. This is what is said about it and this is what it really is. (Translated from Arabic by Sonia Farid) By: Khalid Ewais Voice: Nadia Idriss Mayen

Subscribe for more Luxury / Billionaire / Wealth Videos http://www.youtube.com/luxsreports Most Luxurious Coach Bus -- Luxury Travel destinations in India Ultra-wide recliner seats, conference rooms, individual tables and chillers, fancy restrooms and pantries, even a spa — these swank, super-luxury buses are geared to give air travel a run for its money On an online travel forum, an American tourist recounts with fascination his journey from Delhi to Shimla on a state bus 20 years ago. "It started with a window seat, and ended al fresco, with me — and a few hundred other people and their livestock — on the roof of the bus. It was by far the most enjoyable ride I've had." Having thus raised the bar for foreign tourists — by giving them, and everyone else, the everyday equivalent of a theme park ride — intercity buses have sobered up in the last decade. They've worked hard at safety and sophistication and sworn off their weakness for on-road circus tricks, ring-mastered , as was often the case, by a happy inebriate. But not content to stop at a straight drive, superior suspension, air-conditioning and drapes, buses today offer a host of luxury features that actually rival aircraft travel. Gliding on Volvo and Daimler chassis , Wi-fi-enabled interiors fitted out with personal LCD screens and preloaded DVDs, 23-inch seats that recline almost 160 degrees, with restrooms and pantries, sometimes even a spa out back, they're far from the bile-streaked deathtraps that once took you to the hills. Some tour operators are peddling them as '7-star coaches at first class train fares' . For customers, wedged between a rock (runaway air fares) and a hard place (trains), these new liners of luxury are just the ticket. Yesterday, Siddhi Vinayak Logistic Ltd (SVLL), the commercial vehicles manufacturer introduced its ultra-luxurious '7-star' bus, the SVLL Connect in Surat. These vehicles have been manufactured by Scania, the Swedish automotive manufacturer, operating now in India . About 120 SVLL Connect buses will hit the roads in two years, fanning out initially to the south and west. "Keeping in mind corporate needs, the bus will house a conference room with projectors and Wi-Fi connection, and will match aircraft comfort," says Deepak Baid, director SVLL. In addition to the bells and whistles, these buses will also cut short travel time. "These 31-seaters with all the necessary facilities will reduce travel time by at least 15%," he promises. According to TEAMPro, a market consultancy, the Indian luxury bus segment is currently valued at Rs 3,000 crore, with an annual growth rate of 15% to 20%. Having done the math, some tour operators have opted for the high road after weighing such factors as improved roadnetworks, demanding customers and limited options in transport. They're ready to invest up to Rs 3 crore per modified vehicle. Parveen Travels, a travel company confined, till now, to south India , claims to be the first in the country to introduce online bus reservation and complete passenger insurance cover, as well as the first to offer a two-channel personal entertainment system. Mohammed A Aarif, director, says 20 % of his fleet of over 800 buses belongs to the top tier. "The luxury bus segment is bound to grow," he predicts, "Aviation prices are rising and not everyone prefers trains and tickets are hard to come by," he says. Parveen recorded a growth of 22% last year. With talk of cabin crew, gourmet meals, conference rooms, and onboard entertainment, you could fool yourself into believing you're flying, even if on the road. Olivea also boasts of a customer loyalty programme. "We see a major surge towards bus travel with more luxury coaches coming up for intercity and interstate travel," says Mohit Grover, Inventory Manager with the ticketing company Redbus.in, one of the many that have emerged to meet the market. Of the 30,000 bookings a day, 70% account for luxury buses at Redbus. "Air travel is still not the preferred option for shorter routes which can be covered in 6-10 hours by bus because of the price difference . So, those who want a comfortable journey and don't mind paying a little extra, luxury bus travel is becoming a viable choice," he says.
