Two Pacific National "NR class" class diesel locomotives come into view with a very long Melbourne to Perth superfreight container train and cross a broad gauge cement train that had past my location just moments earlier. The second NR locomotive is NR25 and wears a special livery to promote the GSR "Indian Pacific" passenger train. The NR class are an Australian mainline diesel electric locomotive that use GE Transportation Systems engines and traction equipment developing just over 4000 horsepower. They were introduced by National Rail in 1996 and are now owned by Pacific National. . PoathTV - Australian Trains, Railways & Railroads

Three "SCT class" locomotives (SCT008, SCT011, and SCT006) arrive at Gheringhap loop late in the day with around 1.5km of boxcars, refrigerated wagons, and container wagons bound for Adelaide and Perth. The tank wagon directly behind the locomotives is used for refueling the locomotives during this very long journey. The sucess of the SCT class locomotives has lead to a number of similar locomotives including the LDP, TT and WH class locomotives entering service with other operators. Filmed using a Sony PMW-EX3 high definition camera. The perfect camera for railfanning around Australian railroads! . PoathTV - Australian Trains, Railways & Railroads

A V/Line passenger train led by an N class diesel locomotive powers along the Geelong to Melbourne line at sunrise, and is seen as it passes through a railway level crossing (aka "grade crossing") near Little River, Victoria. Amazingly some motorists will still ignore warning bells, flashing lights, and boom gates in an attempt to save a few seconds on their journey. Whether you're a pedestrian or in a vehicle always remember to obey the warning signs at level crossings, being hit by a train because you'd didn't take a few seconds to look in both directions is a dumb way to die. The N Class diesel locomotives have been operated by V/Line since 1985, and used almost exclusively on passenger train services. Their 2500hp EMD engines easily handle the typical load of between 3 and 8 passenger carriages. The recent gauge conversion of the line between Melbourne and Albury means a small number of N class locomotives have been gauge converted from broad gauge to standard gauge to operate the passenger services on that line. A ready to run HO scale model of the N class locomotive was released by Auscision Models in November 2010, details are on their website www.auscisionmodels.com.au. Filmed using a Sony PMW-EX3 high definition camera. . PoathTV - Australian Trains, Railways & Railroads

See where Maradona played and experience the colorful Caminito Street. Getting There/Directions Taxi - Subway does not go there, taxis are the best option. Other Information Wikipedia Link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Boca La Boca is one of the many barrios or neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. It is famous for two reasons, the first of which is its soccer team Boca juniors. Boca juniors is not just any soccer club, the great Diego Maradona played for it. And if you want to get up close and personal with the Boca juniors, come to La Bombonera stadium and watch a live game. La Boca is also known for this street, Caminito street, a beautiful, multi-colored area. The original residents were Italian immigrants with limited means, who used left over materials from the harbor to build these houses. To beautify the neighborhood, they used left over paint from the ships and boats. This area is generally pretty active, attracting artists, musicians and, of course, outside visitors. "What is your name?" "Alfredo Luciano." "What do you like most about La Boca?" "I like the club, Boca Jrs. and the people who treat me well, and the river, and the Chinese neighborhood, are the things that I like a lot." If you want to venture away from the main street, make sure to check it is safe before doing so. I am Gigi Sehr, showing you Buenos Aires.

A suburb of Sydney's inner-west Newtown doesn't boast beaches but it's got that urban, gritty feel endemic to renegade living. Adding to the ambiance it's got ... hipsters, buskin' street artists, punks, and ... people of, cough, undefinable categories. Hip watering holes and funky shops line King Street where you'll even find a vegetarian butcher and other unique goodies.

Free pdf of this script at: http://www.soleducational.com. It is the end of Luciano's tour of Buenos Aires' historical centre but Patricia still wants to see the Teatro Colón. Luciano gives her directions but then remembers that the teatro is closed for renovations. Patricia is disappointed but then invites him for a late lunch. This is an example of the extra materials available to supplement our three-level 'Soleado' course, especially designed for continuing studies classes that teach Spanish as a foreign language.

Get up, close and personal with whales in Argentina. (Patagonia, Argentina) What makes Penisnusla Pyramida one of the best places for whale watching in the world? Well between September and December, you can see Southern Right Whales and they come very, very close to your boat. You are practically guaranteed to see them. You can choose between larger, more stable boats, or smaller rafts that allow you to get closer to the whales. No one knows why, but these whales love jumping out of the water and splashing spectators. Whales choose this bay because it is very protected, allowing them to birth their babies. "It was very great." "It was really nice." "You can see the whales, like they are very close to the boat." "You can almost touch them." "I think it was maybe around twenty..." "Ten. There was around ten. Ten to twelve." "Gigantic whales everywhere, it was beautiful!" I am Ande Wanderer, showing you Patagonia.

Eat, drink, dance, and play with Gauchos and other Argentine locals. Location "Feria De Mataderos" in the neighborhood of Mataderos. Getting There/Directions Bus - Number 36, 55, 92, 63, 80, 92, 97, 103, 117, 126, 141, 155, 180, Or 185. "The Mataderos fair has everything that a person needs in order to enjoy life." Mataderos Fair is the best kept secret in Buenos Aires. This is a typical country fair where you can eat food, have some wine and listen to music, which you would not typically find in Buenos Aires. "I just tried some pesto and it was great. And now I am going to try some Dulce de Leche liquor. It is best in the world, let me tell you." "That liquor that you are drinking, first I make Dulce de Leche by hand, and then I add the alcohol." La Sedia de Monte Rayos began here because the gouchos or Argentine Cowboys bring their cows here to be butchered. The gouchos races through a gate or an arch and has to his knife through this ring. This big. Try that American cowboy. I am Kristina Renee, showing you Buenos Aires.

A Specialised Container Transport (SCT) Perth to Melbourne train has just passed through Geelong and is seen passing a road level crossing (grade crossing) between Lara and Little River as the early morning sun rises a few minutes before 6am on 11 November 2010. The train is lead by three "SCT class" locomotives, is roughly 1.5km long, and has a load of 50 boxcars, refrigerated wagons and loaded container flats. The tanks directly behind the locomotives are used for in-line refueling during the trains long journey. . PoathTV - Australian Trains, Railways & Railroads

As the fog starts to roll in a Pacific National standard gauge grain train headed towards Geelong passes through a railway level crossing. The train dips its headlight as it nears my filming position, so I know a Melbourne bound train must be approaching. Sure enough I turn around to see the headlights of an approaching V/line Sprinter passenger train have also been dimmed for a moment. The passenger train headlight returns to full power allowing us to see the grain hoppers in the distance, and then the passenger train makes its safe passage across the level crossing. .
