Australian Railroad Group (ARG) locomotive AC4308 is seen departing the Dynon freight yards (Melbourne) during its delivery run from Melbourne to Adelaide on 24/9/2009. The locomotive was hauled as part of the loading of service MA6 and when it arrived in Adelaide would be added to another train for the final leg of its journey to Perth (Western Australia). AC4308 was "dead attached" (not operating) behind the trains powered locomotives which were the colourful combination of CLP11 (QRN Yellow/black), CLF4 (ARG Orange) & LDP003 (EDI Blue). The ARG "AC4300" class locomotives are based on the C44aci heavy duty diesel electric locomotive design which delivers over 4300hp for tractive effort purposes. Similar locomotives are also operated by Pacific National (92 class), QRNational (6000 class), and Xstrata Coal (XRN class). . PoathTV - Australian Trains, Railways & Railroads
