Absolutely amazing place to watch the sunrise. The north rim sits at a higher vantage point at an average elevation of 8000 feet, in a sub-alpine climate of blue spruce, Douglas fir, mountain ash, colorful lupines and grassland meadows. Surrounded by trees, greenery, colorful rock walls, breath taking! The north rim is more remote and I was told by a ranger that only 5% of the parks visitors come here.
