The Forbidden City was build from 1406 to 1420, almost 500 years ago. This place was the imperial palace in China from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. It remained the home of the emperors and their households. It was also a great political centre. It is a rectangular building of 961 meters from north to south and 753 meters from east to west.
