The Queensland Electrical Safety Regulation requires that all workplaces have an RCD (Residual Current Device) installed and tested to comply with the QLD Occupational Health and Safety Act. RCDs are commonly referred to as safety switches. The RCD monitors the flow of electricity and cuts of power if it detects faults that could lead to electrocution.
